Honoring Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs is one of the few people I considered asking to be a mentor. Unfortunately I came up with the idea too late and never had the opportunity to meet him. Bong RIP Steve Jobs. You’re a True OG in my iBook. Thanks for the technology.

Some inspirational quotes:

“Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holesâ€Ļ the ones who see things differently — they’re not fond of rulesâ€Ļ You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change thingsâ€Ļ they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.”

“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.”

The President Cruisin’ Sunset

Yesterday I hit the streets of Hollywood, WeHo, Los Angeles, Melrose, Beverly Hills and Westwood. Placed more Weed Connection flyers in at least 21 collectives, 7 doctors offices, and 5 head shops… and took some photos and video of Obama infront of Hustler cruisin’ Sunset.

His security was already in position to block the street when I arrived at the last collective on the boulevard. By the time I was ready to get my roll back on they had cut off the side streets, thus trapping my car in the parking lot. Snapped a bowl and chilled until Obama showed up, then snapped some photos with my camera in one hand, and video on my cell phone with the other hand. Random luck.

Abbot Kinney Festival

The Abbot Kinney Festival is a happening scene loaded with arts and entertainment for all. Abbot Kinney is both a well known street and also a historic artsy/hippy area in Venice Beach, California. The streets were blocked off and lined with vendors, food, drink, and entertainment. This annual festival has been taking place since the 80’s and I recommend you check it out next year if you are looking for something fun to do and the timing is right. http://www.abbotkinney.org
