Supperclub Hollywood

Fun times @Supperclub poppin’ bottles with chill peeps and models. This club is basically a giant room, everything white, with tables and “beds” surrounding a dance floor located by the dj booth towards the back; plus there are two bars in the front and bathrooms upstairs. There is also a hidden outdoor smoking area accessible from the back right corner of this joint. The lighting and sound here are superb. Supperclub has been around for a bit, but it is still a great Hollywood nightclub experience. Peep this mobile video:

Circus Gatti @ Shrine Auditorium is a fun scene for the young family. Our friends at the Shrine hooked it up. This was our first time in this venue since childhood; good memories. After the show we blazed a trail, via skateboard, from the Shrine through middle of campus @ USC, to the flower garden and the Museum of Science, and around the Colosseum and back. RRP has LA to Cali geography on lock for the film loc.

This is a photo collage from Rusted Root, Skinny Lister, and Malea @ El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles. All of these artists have talent, but this was not really our scene. We stayed until Rusted Root played the only song we knew, “Send Me On My Way.” It was an interesting experience and now we are familiar with the venue. Thanks to LL @ Goldenvoice. Got Coachella?

This video is more like three random videos and an audio recording all mixed together. The footage of Russell Rope playing the electric guitar was filmed about six months ago. The recording of Russell playing the same original tune was made last week. The model was shot in the beginning of February. The visual effects were created somewhere inbetween. This presentation is more about the eye candy than the music. RRP is fit to produce much more advanced work. Connect @ info@RussellRope.com

Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson

Finally finished reading the biography of Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson; cover to cover. This book is long and took some time to work through, but its information has already proved to be valuable in conducting business at RRP. Steve Jobs and company created and innovated at the intersection of arts and science, and in doing so changed the world. Jobs got it right and credited his success more to brutal honesty than to reality distortion. Might update this post later, but for now, Jobs would agree to keep moving forward.

CU Buffs Win!

The University of Colorado Buffaloes won the first ever Pac 12 Men’s Basketball Championship! Russell Rope attended the final match, which was held at Staples Center. Unlike the previous CU bball game he attended in LA, Russell was not kicked out “for not being in his seat.” For LA, there was a solid representation of Psi, but “we not I” could roll more deep. There was also a surprising representation of Chey Hoz.
